Our March 2020 trip to the Sahara was an adventure. (Page in French)
When we arrived in Tunisia – on the island of Djerba – country after country was closing their border crossings, international flights and travel were being cancelled.
Corona went around the world.
Meanwhile we drove to the gate of the Sahara in Tunisia – Zaafrane near Doux – and from there we went into the desert for about 2 weeks, accompanied by some experienced guides and with the strong help of dromedaries who carried water, provisions and equipment, with serenity.
